Hot Lunches
Many children depend on a nutritious lunch to help them through their school day. Per the 2018-2019 report by Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction for Washington State, 44% (1,111,411) of students are on free and or reduced-price meals. This is based on parents filling out meal applications. If a child is unable to pay for their meal, a debt has started. Families will receive an invoice from the school district to pay the debt.
The average debt for Washington State School Districts is $70,583.00.
Every year Toys for Kids decides on school district to pay off their hot lunch debt.
We can’t do it without YOU. Just $30 will feed 10 students. Donate!
